Google Gemini Nano Integration in Patreon, Grammarly Apps

Google Gemini Nano

Google Gemini Nano is now being integrated into some mobile applications like Grammarly and Pateron.

The company announced Tuesday during its I/O developer keynote that the most miniature AI model, Gemini Nano, is already being integrated by mobile app developers, including Grammarly and Patreon. According to the organization, companies and other discerning developers were invited to collaborate with Gemini Nano via an early access program declared public last year. Google announced that it will make the Gemini Nano model available to additional developers in the coming months.

Google noted that crowdfunding site Patreon is developing a feature enabling creators to “rapidly catch up” on unread messages—a function that parallels how Google integrates Gemini into Gmail to summarize your emails—as an example of how apps utilize Gemini.

Grammarly, another early adopter, has been utilizing Gemini Nano for experimental purposes while developing its intelligent suggestions technology, which aids users in improving their writing.

Google provided no additional information regarding the integrations; instead, it highlighted them as illustrative instances of how developers might leverage Gemini Nano for their applications and services.

During the event, Google unveiled several updates for Gemini, including online and mobile integrations with Google’s applications, such as Messages, YouTube, and Gmail, as well as additional features that simplify the use of Android smartphones (e.g., alerts users to scam calls) and much more.
