Tonkeeper, Mercuryo Launch Campaign for Indonesian Users

Tonkeeper, a well-known non-custodial wallet for the TON blockchain, has formed a partnership with Mercuryo, a global payment platform, to introduce an exclusive campaign exclusively for Indonesian users.

According to the most recent press release from Tonkeeper, the three-week initiative, which will be in effect from November 25 to December 15, will provide users with reduced transaction fees when they purchase cryptocurrency using popular Indonesian payment methods.

The campaign’s objective is to increase the affordability and accessibility of cryptocurrency purchases in Indonesia by offering substantially reduced rates for a variety of payment methods that are frequently employed. For BNI and BRI transactions, fees are reduced to 1.9%, 2.3% for QRIS, 3.5% for DANA, 3.9% for ShopeePay, and 4.2% for OVO payments.

These rates are a significant reduction from the standard fees, providing users with a cost-effective entry into the TON blockchain ecosystem.

To participate in the campaign, users must activate the Tonkeeper app, navigate to the Browser Tab, and select Mercuryo. Users can benefit from a simplified experience with reduced fees and no concealed costs by utilizing Mercuryo’s seamless integration with Tonkeeper.

The New Frontier for Crypto Adoption

Indonesia’s accelerated growth of its digital economy, tech-savvy population, and increasing access to blockchain-based financial tools are all contributing to the country’s emergence as a hotspot for crypto adoption. Indonesia has experienced a significant increase in the interest of cryptocurrency among the younger generation, who are seeking alternative investment opportunities and digital payment solutions.

Moreover, the government’s accommodating approach to cryptocurrency regulation, in conjunction with the extensive adoption of mobile payment platforms such as ShopeePay, DANA, and QRIS, has established a fertile environment for cryptocurrency growth.

The Black Friday Promotion

Tonkeeper’s dedication to providing value to its global user base is emphasized by this partnership. It is commencing with an Early Bird Black Friday Special for Indonesian consumers, which will facilitate increased engagement in the TON blockchain ecosystem.

Until December 15, the campaign allows Indonesian users to explore the Tonkeeper app‘s comprehensive features, including secure wallet management and app integrations, while saving on crypto purchases.

Record-Breaking Transactions in Indonesia

Indonesian crypto transactions have recently reached a new record of 475 trillion rupiah ($30 billion) in 2024. This represents a 350% increase from the $6.5 billion reported in 2023. The crypto market in Indonesia is experiencing robust growth on a global scale, with crypto transaction figures reaching all-time highs and setting new standards for the adoption of digital assets in Southeast Asia.

There are currently 21 million merchants in the country, which represents a substantial market penetration. One of the world’s largest crypto markets and a significant participant in global digital asset trading is Indonesia, where 716,000 individuals utilize locally registered exchanges.
