BNB Chain Sets 2025 Goal: 5,000 DEX Swaps Per Second

BNB Chain Sets 2025 Goal: 5,000 DEX Swaps Per Second

BNB Chain plans major upgrades to hit 20,000 TPS and support 5,000 DEX swaps per second in its 2025 infrastructure overhaul.

To increase its on-chain capacity and handle up to 5,000 decentralized exchange (DEX) swaps per second, BNB Chain is preparing to rebuild its infrastructure in the second half of 2025.

To meet user demand and guarantee seamless operation across decentralized apps (DApps), BNB Chain intends to raise its block gas limit from 100 million to 1 billion in its view for the remaining months of 2025 and 2026.

According to the network, A Rust-based client geared for high-throughput performance is being rolled out. With a few tweaks, this will be based on Ethereum’s Reth architecture. It provides better memory management, quicker node syncing, and effective, brilliant contract execution.

According to the team, the improvement is a component of a larger effort to make the network more future-proof.

BNB Chain Shares Plans For 2025, 2026 Upgrades

Super Instructions, which are optimized innovative contract functions that combine several processes into a single action, were also referenced by BNB Chain.

According to the network, this would simplify intricate exchanges like token exchanges and launch events.

To cut down on redundant data access and enable speedier execution across a far bigger data collection, the network will also enhance its StateDB system.

The blockchain system that controls accounts, balances, smart contracts, and their data includes the StateDB.

When improved, the blockchain can function more quickly, support more users, and carry out intricate transactions more effectively without overload.

BNB Chain stated 2026 that it is creating a blockchain architecture that can perform 20,000 transactions per second (TPS) with confirmation speeds of less than 150 milliseconds.

With Web3 levels of management, it will include native privacy features, virtual machine upgrades, and easy-to-use tools that could give the impression of a centralized exchange.

“BNB Chain’s next phase will give you complete control over your assets while making on-chain access as simple as logging into your favorite app,” the company stated.

Ethereum Prepares For Years To Come

In addition to BNB Chain, Ethereum is preparing for the years ahead.

Developer Sophia Gold of the Ethereum Foundation stated on July 11 that the network is getting ready to incorporate zero-knowledge technology into the mainnet.

Ethereum proponents are also promoting the idea of layer-1 networks switching to Ethereum layer-2s.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin backed the story of layer-1 networks moving to Ethereum on Wednesday by proposing a simple method for creating layer-2 networks.
