Following a reduction in import duties in the South Asian market, Apple has reduced its iPhone price variants in India by 3-4%
The price reductions for the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 models are 300 rupees ($3.6), while the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max units are priced at up to 6,000 ($71.7).
This is the inaugural instance in which Apple has reduced the prices of its current-generation Pro variants in India. India reduced the base customs duty on mobile phones from 20% to 15% in its annual budget earlier this week. This action follows.
Additionally, the price reduction coincides with a decrease in the shipment of iPhones in China, as industry data indicates. This week, Canalys reported that Apple’s smartphone shipments in China experienced a 6.7% decline in the year’s second quarter.
Apple declined to provide an official statement.
