Through curated audio content, Apple Music rolls out Sound Therapy playlists with calming tracks to aid focus, relaxation, and better sleep
Apple Music is introducing a new” “audio wellness” collection of songs dubbed Sound Therapy. Developed in collaboration with Universal Music Group (UMG), the feature integrates tunes that subscribers are already familiar with with other sound waves that facilitate relaxation, concentration, or sleep.
Auditory rhythms or colored noise, which are sound waves with varying intensities at various frequencies and are categorized by color, may be incorporated into songs. For example, delta waves can be paired with pink noise, a variation that resembles rain or breeze, to facilitate sleep.

In contrast, the Focus category in Sound Therapy employs white noise with gamma auditory rhythms. Additionally, theta auditory beats are used in the Relax group of compositions to facilitate relaxing and letting go.
The compilation comprises songs that are already familiar to listeners, including those by artists such as Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Kacey Musgraves, Ludovico Einaudi, AURORA, Jhené Aiko, Chelsea Cutler, and Jeremy Zucker.
Producers and audio engineers at Solos, UMG’s music wellness initiative in London, transformed these recordings into extended instrumental versions
The newest addition to the Apple Music Chill radio station is a collection of calming stories and meditative moments interspersed with sound.
