Apple Podcasts Now Available on the Web

Apple announced Monday that Apple Podcasts is now accessible via all major web browsers—Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari—in over 170 countries

The new dedicated web experience is designed to simplify accessing podcasts for individuals with a web browser.

Web listening has been available for some time; however, users were required to search for the program on a search engine and visit the show’s Apple Podcasts Preview page to listen to an episode.

Apple Podcasts on the Web has recently introduced a new interface that enables users to access features that were previously exclusive to the app.

These encompass the ability to browse millions of episodes, access sections such as the Library and Top Charts, and purchase premium podcast subscriptions, among other things.

Listeners can pause a podcast and save their play progress for later listening by syncing their Apple Accounts. Additionally, they can view the shows and programs they have subscribed to and the programs they have followed.

The web experience is also accessible to users who do not have an Apple Account; however, they are limited to browsing and listening.

Apple Podcasts has partnered with various startups, indie platforms, and music streaming titans YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify to offer web-based podcast players like Castbox, Podbay, Podcast App, and Podurama.

The inclusion is anticipated to be well-received by podcast enthusiasts who prefer not to install an additional application but still require access to specific features.

Apple Podcasts on the Web enables podcasters to disseminate links to episodes, programs, and channels, expanding their global audience.

Users can access the new website by visiting podcasts.apple.com.
