Apple to Unveil New iPhones, AirPods, Watches

Bloomberg News reported on Friday that Apple is preparing to unveil the most significant product launch event of the year on Sept. 10

According to sources familiar with the matter, the event will feature the most recent iPhones, watches, and AirPods.

The report stated that the company is preparing for the date even though the timetable has not yet been disclosed. The phones will be available for purchase on Sept. 20, consistent with Apple’s traditional strategy in recent years.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

Apple is anticipated to introduce what they refer to as the most significant software upgrade for the iPhone, and analysts anticipate a robust upgrade cycle for the iPhone 16 series. At a time when Samsung and other competitors were more rapid in introducing comparable services, this product incorporated artificial intelligence capabilities.

Even though Apple’s overall China business underperformed in the third quarter, the company anticipates further growth and relies on AI to attract consumers. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

According to Visible Alpha, Apple’s third-largest market, China, experienced a 6.5% decline in sales, which exceeded the anticipated 2.4% decline.

Apple unveiled its long-awaited AI strategy at its annual developer conference in June. The company has integrated its new “Apple Intelligence” technology across its suite of apps, including Siri, and has introduced OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT to its devices.

Apple continues to be excessively dependent on iPhone sales, and some analysts have expressed that any potential benefits from the new AI capabilities are unlikely to be realized shortly.
