Arc, an electric boat startup, has introduced a new model that is its most affordable and accessible watercraft.
The Arc Coast is the name of the new yacht, which is expected to be priced at $168,000. The Coast will be available for shipment in 2026, and the company is currently accepting preorders.
The Coast is classified as a “center console” yacht and is frequently employed for fishing. It is the third model produced by the company, following the limited edition $300,000 Arc One and the $268,000 Arc Sport (which I had the opportunity to operate earlier this year). To fulfill the ambitious pledge of founder and CEO Mitch Lee to electrify all watercraft, Arc has also recently disclosed that it is developing an electric tow boat for the Port of Los Angeles.
The Coast is powered by the same 226kWh battery pack Arc designed for the Sport and is approximately the exact dimensions, according to the company.
The Coast can be powered at a maximum speed of approximately 50 miles per hour. It should have a battery life of four to five hours, or even longer, depending on the amount of power used by the 400 horsepower available. The vehicle can accommodate up to ten passengers.
