Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, disclosed a significant revelation during his presentation at the WebX Asia conference. He anticipates a 126x increase in the value of the Hyperliquid token, HYPE. Hayes believes native cryptocurrency could derive substantial advantages from the rapid revenue expansion in decentralized exchange (DEX). Despite the broader crypto market correction, the price of HYPE increased by 5% earlier today.

Arthur Hayes, the former CEO of BitMEX, envisions a significant bull market for the HYPE token, which will be fueled by the platform’s increasing market share and the expanding stablecoin market. As the stablecoin market expands, Hyperliquid is well-positioned to capture substantial value, per Hayes’ analysis at the WebX Asia conference.
According to his predictions, the global stablecoin supply will surpass $10 trillion by 2028, with Hyperliquid accounting for 26.4% of the associated trading volume. This announcement coincides with the recent passage of $6.2 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) for the decentralized exchange (DEX). Hayes anticipates that this expansion will increase annualized revenues from $1.2 billion to $258 billion by 2028.
In his most recent analysis, Hayes used a 5% discount rate to determine the terminal value of HYPE token revenues, which was $5.161 trillion. According to Hayes, this results in a 126x upside potential for early investors, with a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $41.05 billion.
One of the most optimistic forecasts for a DeFi protocol token is the 126x potential projection. Arthur Hayes proposed a $100 target for the HYPE token earlier this year; however, the most recent forecast is significantly higher.
Surpassing Industry Leaders Such as Coinbase and Bybit
Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange (DEX), challenges some of the most prominent industry participants, including Coinbase and Bybit. The DEX is acquiring momentum as an “all-encompassing” exchange that caters to various industry participants. According to Ryan Watkins, the co-founder of Syncracy Capital, the 24-hour volume of the BTC space on Hyperliquid exceeded that of Coinbase and Bybit combined.
Hyperliquid is gradually becoming a prominent exchange for BTC, ETH, and SOL spot trading. The platform has experienced substantial activity recently, particularly in the area of Unit/Hyperliquid, with all operations functioning seamlessly.
Substantial ETH withdrawals and nine-figure BTC deposits were executed within minutes on its decentralized infrastructure. It is worth noting that Hyperliquid’s BTC spot market has recently achieved a 24-hour trading volume that exceeds the combined totals of Coinbase and Bybit. Amid this robust trading activity, regulated participants, such as Circle, the issuer of USDC stablecoins, also transfer their assets to the decentralized exchange.
The HPYE price has experienced a significant 300% increase since the April lows, and it is currently trading at $45. The altcoin is currently ranked among the top 15 crypto assets by market capitalization. The HYPE price prediction indicates that the altcoin is anticipating potential upside following the recent consolidation. The daily trading volume has increased by 78% to $278 million, indicating that traders are experiencing a strong bullish sentiment.
