Binance Celebrates 7th Anniversary with 200M Users, New Campaign

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has celebrated its seventh anniversary, highlighting the ongoing maturation of the digital asset industry

Binance, which has amassed a global user base of more than 200 million, has also initiated a new “Be Binance” campaign to commemorate its milestone.

According to Rachel Conlan, the chief marketing officer at Binance, the new campaign is designed to honor and compensate the exchange’s loyal consumers. Her announcement, which was shared with Cointelegraph, read as follows:

Rachel Conlan | CryptoPotato

“Through determination, curiosity, and responsibility, we’ve faced challenges and reaped rewards, thanks to our 200 million users. As we journey toward financial freedom, we stay true to our values — humility, kindness, collaboration, and gratitude.”

The daily trading volume of Binance exceeds $25.3 billion, making it the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.

This is more than seven times the size of the second-largest exchange, Coinbase, which has a daily transaction volume of $3.3 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.

According to Rachel Conlan, Binance’s chief marketing officer, the company has already crossed the 200 million user mark, but there is still significant potential for growth.

Conlan stated to Cointelegraph that education will be instrumental in attracting the next generation of mainstream adopters:

“Education and raising awareness are absolutely key. 200M+ is an impressive number, but if you think about it, both the industry and our user base still have a massive potential for growth.”

The exchange achieved the initial 100 million users within five years, and the subsequent 200 million users within two additional years. In the first half of 2024, Binance has attracted more than 30 million news consumers.

The vision of attaining the first billion Web3 users is rendered more feasible by the milestone, as per Binance’s Conlan:

“A few years ago, 200 million users looked like something from a sci-fi movie. Today, onboarding the first billion to Web3 feels like an attainable target, even though we realize that it will still take years of hard work.”

Over 19 countries are included in the “Be Binance” campaign.

The celebratory campaign will provide users with a diverse selection of activities, such as virtual events, in-person meet-ups, forthcoming promotions, and social media contests.

Additionally, the exchange will implement a series of giveaways through community channels such as Binance Square and social media.

Users have the opportunity to earn a portion of the $7,000 BNB token prize pool and other merchandise by answering questions and sharing their Binance-related experiences.

In 19 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Spain, and Benin, in-person events will be held to commemorate the milestone.

Conlan also stated that educational initiatives will continue to be a primary focus of the exchange:

“At Binance, we will keep educating people globally about how digital assets can make their lives better, and demonstrate the utility that crypto can drive by innovating and shipping products that people use and value.”
