Bitget Telegram Wallet Surges to 6 Million Users

In three days following its soft launch, Bitget Wallet Lite Tiny, the Telegram mini app, has amassed over six million users.

With millions of users within days of its inception, Bitget Wallet, a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet run by Bitget Exchange, is becoming increasingly well-known on Telegram.

Bitget Wallet Lite, a multichain wallet integrated into Telegram that enables users to purchase, store, and transmit cryptocurrency within the app, was formally launched on October 31.

Six million users have joined the Bitget Wallet Lite Mini App on Telegram since its soft launch on October 28. The formal launch takes place three days after that.

In three days, six million users?

According to Telegram data, Bitget Wallet Lite’s user base surpassed six million monthly users on the official day of debut after adding three million users in the first two days. The number represents half of the 12 million monthly users of Bitget Wallet.

Bitget Wallet’s chief operating officer, Alvin Kan, said that the company’s targeted campaigns and user-engaging features are behind Bitget Wallet Lite’s explosive rise.

Bitget Wallet Lite is showing more than six million monthly users as of Oct. 31.

Early user rewards are one initiative that gives gifts and prizes to the first million users. Kan also said:

“We launched a targeted campaign in Telegram groups, with gifts for the first million users, drove early adoption by creating urgency and rewarding users eager to secure the best opportunities on Bitget Wallet.”

According to the CEO, partnerships with other mini-apps, such as Tomarket, have helped the mini-app increase and reach a more extensive user base on the messaging app.

According to Kan, referral systems that give users incentives for bringing others along were another element driving the rapid expansion.

Telegram is filled with cryptocurrency wallets.

Although Wallet in the messaging app is the default cryptocurrency wallet of the Telegram chat, other Mini Apps offer crypto wallet features within the app.

Hot Wallet has 5.8 million monthly users; Tonkeeper has 760,000 members; OKX Wallet has about 700,000 subscribers; and numerous others are some of the largest cryptocurrency wallets on the messaging app.

Because phishing attacks and other threats are becoming more frequent, users should exercise caution when engaging with Mini Apps on Telegram, despite the increased activity of crypto wallets on the messaging app.

Bitget claims it is possible to modify or inflate Telegram’s monthly active users (MAU) data, making attackers appear to be a reputable cryptocurrency exchange.

“Checking Telegram’s official verification blue tag, official brand account, or customer service is safer,” Bitget said. Additionally, Bitget Wallet has a dedicated page on its website where consumers can validate any associated channel.

Bitget Wallet Lite does not have an official verification blue badge, despite users being advised to check it.

On October 31, a representative for Bitget Wallet Lite said: “We don’t have this yet but will have it very soon.”
