Bitwise Files for Dogecoin ETF, DOGE to Hit $15?

Bitwise has registered a legal entity for a potential Dogecoin ETF, sparking speculation about an SEC filing. This news briefly boosted Dogecoin’s price to $0.373 before stabilizing near $0.36.

There are rumors that Bitwise is about to file with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after registering a legal organization for a Dogecoin ETF.

The price of Dogecoin experienced a brief increase due to this development, reaching $0.373 before stabilizing around $0.36 at the time of posting.

Bitwise Proceeds with a Dogecoin ET Submission

Bitwise has established a legal company called “BITWISE DOGECOIN ETF,” per data retrieved from the Delaware corporation registration website. This is regarded as a prelude to an official ETF file with the SEC, even if it is not one.

Before filing Form S-1 with the SEC, ETF registrations usually start with the creation of a legal framework.

Market watchers anticipate that the company will submit the necessary documentation shortly, bringing Dogecoin to the list of cryptocurrencies that exchange-traded fund issuers are increasingly targeting.

The registration was verified by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, who said, “This is definitely legitimate and not an attempt to manipulate markets.” Balchunas added that if permitted, a DOGE ETF might make its debut by April 2025.
