Calendar Tool Clockwise Launches AI-Powered Prism Interface

An intelligent calendar and scheduling application, Clockwise is modifying its interface to incorporate an AI-powered assistant known as Prism

This assistant enables users to manage scheduling conflicts, create or clear events in mass, and convert to-do lists into calendar blocks with text prompts.

Clockwise, like competitor startups Vimcal, which was funded by YC, and Reclaim, which was acquired by Dropbox this month, is designed for businesses and concentrates on optimizing team schedules. However, it is still accessible to individuals.

The new AI assistant can convert typed instructions into calendar events. For example, if you enter a query such as “Create a link to schedule a meeting with Severian next week,” you will receive a text block or link that allows you to share your availability. Additionally, the tool will propose an alternative time slot for the meeting if the suggested timing conflicts with another engagement.

Additionally, Prism enables you to distribute a link that contains suggested meeting times to which other participants can respond. The link will also identify any potential conflicts.

However, if you are organizing an urgent meeting, Prism can automatically reschedule conflicting events and select an optimal time by examining the schedules of various team members.

Additionally, you can schedule tasks from a to-do list in your calendar and relocate them if you are summoned to a meeting. If you wish to arrange similar meetings with many individuals, you can create a prompt such as “Schedule 15-minute one-on-ones with Frank, Robin, Nami, and Tony.”

Additionally, you may utilize commands such as “Reschedule my afternoon” or “Clear my Monday morning” to expedite the process of rescheduling responsibilities.

Matt Martin, CEO of Clockwise, informed TechCrunch that the organization employs a customized scheduling engine that interacts with natural language queries to identify conflicts and determine the most optimal timings.

“I have observed numerous startups attempt to directly connect LLMs to Google Calendar APIs in a naive manner.” Unsurprisingly, these instruments fail when extended beyond the most basic applications. Martin stated, “We have dedicated seven years to the development of the most sophisticated scheduling engine in the world.

This layer enables Prism to make decisions quickly and consistently to identify the most suitable times for tasks and meetings.”

Clockwise is providing Prism to all customers at no cost, and it is currently in the process of developing a more comprehensive integration with Google Calendar and improved support for weekly schedules.
