YouTuber Coffeezilla urges stopping misinformation about influencer Hailey Welch’s controversial HAWK memecoin launch.
Stephen Findeisen, also known as “Coffeezilla,” a YouTube investigator, has appealed for an end to inaccurate headlines about viral influencer Hailey Welch, also known as “Hawk Tuah,” in the wake of her controversial meme coin, HAWK.
“Could you please cease publishing these absurd headlines?” Coffezilla stated in a Dec. 6 X post to his 638,900 followers that she did not rug for 500M or profit $50M.
CoffeeZilla Suggests That We Adhere To Our Existing Knowledge
According to Coffeezilla, the meme coin team “presold a few million” to strategic advisors who purportedly “sold early” before the tokens “got sniped.”
It follows the controversial deployment of Welch’s Hawk Tuah meme coin on December 5, which prompted outrage across social media.
The newly launched token briefly pumped and then dumped rapidly following allegations of snipers and insider wallets.
Consequently, rumors have circulated online, including allegations of purported profits from the memecoin and lawsuits.
Coffeezilla has declared that the majority of these rumors are inaccurate.
“There is a plethora of criticism to be made here, and I do. However, let us limit ourselves to the information we know.”
CoffeeZilla reiterated that the “exact amount” is undisclosed, but the team earned a few million.
He stated, “According to Hawk’s attorney, she has received $125,000 and her tokens have been unlocked within the past year.”
Rumors Of Lawsuit Against CoffeeZilla Are Denied
He stated that the location of all proceeds from the presale and transaction fees is “currently unknown.”
In the interim, he declared that no legal action had been initiated:
“Oh, and she has not yet been sued, so everything in this post is inaccurate.”
In a Dec. 5 X post, Burwick Law, a law firm based in the United States, advised victims of the launch to reach out to the firm to ascertain their “legal rights.”
Welch’s most recent post on X regarding the matter, which was shared on Dec. 5, claimed that she was “copying and pasting” before it read:
“Hawkanomics: The team has not sold a single token, and not a single KOL has received a complimentary token.”
“We made every effort to prevent snipers by imposing high fees at the outset of the launch.”
