Crypto Firm Invests in Blade of God X for AI Training

Crypto firm invests in Blade of God X for AI training, allowing players to train AI with cryptocurrency on the platform.

OKX Ventures, a crypto and Web3 investment fund, recently invested in “Blade of God X,” an early-access action role-playing game developed by Void Labs. The game reportedly features a “play… to train” function that enables players to direct the training of an artificial intelligence (AI) model through gameplay.

The play-to-train concept, as stated in a press release by OKX Ventures, “not only integrates blockchain technology with sophisticated AI agents but also enables players to instruct their AI agents via gameplay.”

Currently, it is unknown which models are undergoing training and how gameplay influences this process. Additional information still needs to be received from OKX Ventures and Void Labs in response to inquiries by Cointelegraph at the time this article was published.

Blade of God X is an action role-playing game whose gameplay resembles “Souls-like” titles, characterized by their intricate action sequences.

The Epic Game Store presents it as an early access title incorporating blockchain technology. Participation in non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies, and other Web3 features is voluntary, as stated in the game’s description. While downloading and playing Blade of God X is free, accessing its blockchain-based features may require a payment or wallet.

The game is compatible with the Epic Games Store FAQ section, per EVM (Polygon) and Immutable X chains.

Individuals accessing the game’s Web3 features can “forge their own game experiences” by exchanging items using MetaMask, GameStop, Venly, Coinbase Wallet, Magic Link, or an Immutable passport.

As of this writing, games in the series have been downloaded more than six million times, and Blades of X has amassed six million dollars in funding.

After OKX Venture’s investment commitment, Void Labs founder expressed gratitude for the firm’s “invaluable support” and stated the following:

“This partnership will provide us with the necessary resources and guidance to continue innovating, broaden our horizons and deliver exceptional gaming experiences to players worldwide.”

Additional investors in the game consist of BreederDAO, Delphi Ventures, Eden Holdings, and several others.
