CFTC Commissioner Alludes To Perpetual Future Of Crypto
CFTC Commissioner Summer Mersinger has confirmed US officials’ intentions to authorize digital currency perpetual futures.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the departing Commissioner revealed plans, pointing out that the US markets are ready to launch the tokens perpetual futures.
When asked about the state of their offerings, Mersinger said that the US is slowly moving in the right direction.
Mersinger did not provide a timeframe for the approvals, but he did imply that the wave of the laws would include crypto perpetual futures.
“It would be great to get that trading back onshore in the United States,” said Mersinger. “I think it’s unfortunate that it has been driven offshore for so long.”
