Elon Musk recently stated in response to allegations circulating regarding discussions on X regarding cryptocurrencies and Donald Trump, the leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024
The rumor also addressed the possibility that Musk and Trump could deliver a joint address at the upcoming Republican National Convention.
He recollects that they never discussed cryptocurrencies. However, he does recall that Trump generally backs initiatives that empower individuals rather than the government, which is consistent with the potential of cryptocurrencies.
Musk wrote on X, “I am fairly certain we have never discussed cryptocurrencies, but I am generally in favor of initiatives that transfer power from the government to the people, which cryptocurrencies can do.”
Elon Musk further specified that he would not provide financial backing to either presidential campaign. However, he did say that he intends to organize events that deter affluent backers from endorsing Joe Biden.
Aside from speculation that Musk may join Trump in speaking at the Republican National Convention, an official statement has yet to be issued.
The exchange between Musk and Trump holds considerable importance in cryptocurrencies due to their capacity to shape public opinion and regulatory determinations that affect the adoption and stability of cryptocurrencies.
In a separate development, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had considered offering Elon Musk a possible advisory position if he was to secure the forthcoming election. Notwithstanding their previous disputes, the two have been engaged in dialogue about a range of policy concepts, potentially encompassing immigration and crypto-related issues.
