At the Pixel 10 launch event, Google introduced the Pixel Journal, a new journaling app.
This announcement comes nearly two years after Apple introduced the Journal app with the release of iOS 17 in 2023.
Google’s Pixel Journal employs on-device AI models to prompt users to complete journal entries. Additionally, the application may propose writing prompts determined by your objectives, past entries, or memories.
In addition to documenting your mood, you can include photographs, locations, and activities in a journal entry.
The company stated that the Journal app will acquire knowledge about your writing practices and offer a variety of insights, including the average time you write your entries, the longest entry by word count in a month or week, and the number of entries in a month or week.
It was also mentioned that it is possible to secure your journal application to prevent unauthorized access to your entries.
Google may eventually make the app available for older Pixel phones, even though it is currently exclusive to Pixel 10 series devices.
