Hashkey Group’s European division, Hashkey Europe, has secured VASP license approval from the Central Bank of Ireland to offer crypto trading and custodian services.
The Central Bank of Ireland has authorized Hashkey Group, an Asian bitcoin financial services company, to register as a virtual asset service provider (VASP) through its European branch, Hashkey Europe.
HashKey Europe said in a statement released on Tuesday, January 7, that the registration enables the company to offer custodian wallet and cryptocurrency trading services.
“This is Hashkey Group’s first VASP license fully compliant with the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5), underscoring its commitment to building a global Web3 ecosystem within a highly compliant regulatory framework,” the company stated.
Hashkey Group on VASP License
As part of its global expansion strategy, Hashkey Group is strengthening its position in significant foreign markets with the approval of VASP in Ireland.
Before receiving VASP certification in Ireland, Hashkey Group obtained licenses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda, solidifying its position as a dependable global leader in the virtual asset industry.
After becoming among the first cryptocurrency exchanges in Hong Kong to obtain a license that permits retail users to trade cryptocurrencies on its platform, this is yet another first for Hashkey Group.
It has a large on-chain ecosystem thanks to the Hashkey Group’s creation of the Ethereum layer two (L2) Hashkey Chain and listing of the Hashkey platform token.
Hashkey Group is committed to leading the global adoption of blockchain technology with the aim of offering freely accessible digital asset services to billions of people worldwide.
