Hedera Joins Linux Foundation, Donates code

Hedera and Linux Foundation Partner to Share Code - Altcoin Buzz

Hedera Hashgraph, a blockchain ecosystem, has joined the Linux Foundation and contributed its source code to Hiero

LF Decentralized Trust, a new Linux Foundation umbrella project, has named Hedera Hashgraph a founding “premier member”.

Hedera donated its entire source code, including its “hashgraph consensus algorithm and all core services, tooling, and libraries,” to the project, which will be managed under the newly established “Hiero” project within LF Decentralized Trust to promote open-source development, in a Sept. 16 press release.

The news statement states that Hiero will provide wallets, decentralized exchanges, explorers, bridges, SDKs, private ledgers, and advanced cryptographic solutions for the Hedera network.

Following the newest development, Hedera president Charles Adkins will join the LF Decentralized Trust board alongside Accenture, DTCC, and Hitachi CEOs.

Hedera and Cardano developer Input Output founded the Decentralized Recovery Alliance in early September to create a web3 crypto recovery platform.

Despite the latest development, Hedera’s token fell 3% to $0.05. The Hedera Council will maintain the network’s integrity and security using the Linux Foundation’s resources and community support.
