Powered by blockchain technology, The sponsorship agreement was disclosed by Helium Mobile in a notification on September 26.
According to the Helium Network-related platform, the partnership with the USC Trojans will encompass stadium branding, giveaways, and fan engagement.
Fan encounter
Helium has announced that the new partnership will include branding and activities at the university’s basketball and football events during the 2024-25 season.
The partnership will also focus on fan experiences, allowing USC Trojans supporters to learn about Helium, its community, and phone plans. Additionally, Helium Mobile’s Hotspots will be disclosed to fans.
The partnership will be introduced to the USC community for the first time during the football contest between USC and Wisconsin on the weekend of Sept. 28.
Helium Mobile offers crypto incentives
The Helium Network offers community-powered connectivity, with its product designed for use across some of the most popular applications, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The mobile phone plan, which functions on a 5G network, is priced at $20 per month and includes unlimited calls, data, and text.
Helium provides a cryptocurrency rewards program that enables users and Hotspot operators to receive rewards for contributing to the expansion of the network.
Helium Mobile introduced its tech stack licensing program in June 2023 to establish a collaborative ecosystem that facilitates additional growth by placing manufacturers at the center of connecting more individuals.
Helium Mobile’s expansion is supported by various partners, including the blockchain-based platform Nova Labs and the telecom firm Telefónica.
Additionally, Solana Pay contributed to integrating mobile payments into Shopify, providing Hotspots users with an additional payment option.
