Charles Hoskinson hints at 2025 XRP ecosystem collaboration, eyeing XRP and RLUSD integration into Cardano’s DeFi and Midnight sidechain.
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has suggested that the XRP community may be interested in collaborating. This follows the successful implementation of the Midnight airdrop, which also benefited XRP holders.
Cardano’s founder discusses the collaboration with XRP and the midnight airdrop
Hoskinson expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with the XRP community during an AMA session, and he disclosed that he had recently conversed with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Additionally, he hinted that Lace Wallet will incorporate XRP by the end of the year.
The Cardano inventor also expressed his desire to organize a joint event with certain stakeholders in the XRP community, such as pro-crypto lawyer John Deaton. Hoskinson also discussed the Midnight airdrop and its efficacy thus far.
He disclosed that more than 1.6 billion tokens have been redeemed as of now, characterizing the airdrop strategy as a “nice, layered approach” to involving other ecosystems. In addition to ADA holders, the NIGHT airdrop was also open to BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, AVAX, and BAT holders, as CoinGape reported.
The Cardano founder once again emphasized that the Midnight airdrop will be one of the largest airdrops in history, if not the largest. Additionally, he proposed that they collaborate with leaders in these other ecosystems to promote the Midnight initiative.
Additionally, Hoskinson was recently required to respond to criticisms concerning the manipulation of the Midnight airdrop for insiders. He observed that the airdrop is performing exceptionally well and that there was no necessity to disseminate false information.
A Response to the Invitation by John Deaton
Deaton responded to the Cardano founder’s statement regarding the potential organization of an event with him and other stakeholders in the XRP community in an X post. The pro-crypto counsel expressed that it would be a privilege and an honor to collaborate with Hoskinson and other prominent figures in the crypto ecosystem at the event.
In the interim, BankXRP, a prominent member of the XRP community, expressed his approval of Hoskinson’s decision. He asserted that crypto collaboration promotes innovation, enhances security, encourages adoption, reduces expenses, and fosters trust. The community member expressed his desire to see ADA supported on more devices.
