Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano and CEO of Input Output, won an award in Switzerland for helping the Ethereum Foundation build Crypto Valley
Hoskinson and seven other Ethereum (ETH) co-founders were given a high award by the Canton and City of Zug at the ETH10X in Zug, Switzerland, on Oct. 2, according to a press release from Input Output.
ETH10X was an event held to honor the 10th anniversary of the Ethereum Foundation. The founder of Cardano was praised for helping Ethereum build Crypto Valley, a global hub for blockchain innovation.
“It’s an amazing honor to be recognized at ETH10X with the other founders of Ethereum.” “Crypto Valley is a key part of the global blockchain industry, and I’m proud to have helped build it,” Hoskinson said when he accepted the award.
Even though Hoskinson isn’t part of the Ethereum Foundation anymore, he said he was still committed to paving the way for the blockchain industry. This led him to work with Jeremy Wood in 2015 to create Input Output, which is now one of the world’s best blockchain infrastructure research and engineering firms.
Hoskinson said, “Our mission has always been to push the limits of decentralization. With projects like Cardano and Midnight, we are making more secure, inclusive, and scalable financial systems that can give people more power worldwide.”
Cardano is one of Input Output’s most well-known projects. It is a third-generation blockchain technology that hosts the ADA cryptocurrency. Input Output is preparing for Midnight, its fourth-generation blockchain platform.
Claims for Input Output Midnight will let users put private and public information on the blockchain. This will allow selective disclosure and address important problems like identity, privacy, and interoperability.
With Cardano and Midnight, Input Output launched the Chang hard fork on September 1. This project implemented CIP-1694, which marked the beginning of the Age of Voltaire for Cardano.
ETH10X brings together important people in the blockchain field to celebrate the growth of Ethereum and Crypto Valley over the past ten years.
