HubSpot is Investigating Hack Attacks on Customers

Marketing software brand Hubspot is investigating a series of hack attacks targeting customers to gain access to their accounts.

HubSpot, a leading marketing and sales software provider, announced on Friday that it is investigating a cybersecurity incident.

Rumors of a cyberattack against HubSpot began circulating on social media on Friday. Alyssa Robinson, HubSpot’s chief information security officer, stated in a statement to TechCrunch on Friday that the company had “identified a security incident” in which “bad actors targeted a limited number of HubSpot customers and attempted to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.”

“Since June 22, HubSpot initiated our incident response procedures. We have been contacting impacted customers and taking the requisite steps to revoke unauthorized access and safeguard our customers and their data,” Robinson stated.

When questioned by TechCrunch, the organization declined to disclose whether it has received any correspondence from the malevolent actors.

As of Friday, HubSpot is a corporation headquartered in the United States that specializes in marketing automation software and customer relationship management (CRM). Its market capitalization is nearly $30 billion.

Currently, the extent of the incident and the number of HubSpot customers who were impacted are uncertain.

HubSpot has over 216,000 corporate clients and lists Discord, Eventbrite, Talkspace, and other prominent clients.
