Immutable’s new feature enables in-game transactions with plans to expand to IMX, USDC, and ETH, enhancing Web3 gaming.
By enabling in-game transactions, the blockchain technology Immutable added a new feature to improve gamers’ Web3 gaming experiences.
Immutable stated in a release on November 11 that Web3 gaming has experienced disruptions since players frequently need to approve transactions or use wallets outside of games.
Developers can now incorporate transaction approvals straight into a game’s UI with the help of the new functionality, Pre-Approved Transactions.
Immutable introduced their Passport wallet system in 2023, utilizing Apple and Google login credentials.
According to the Web3 gaming project, the functionality enables players to create and retrieve cryptocurrency wallets with an email address or Google or Apple accounts.
The company claimed to have removed the necessity for out-of-game signing and confirmation with the recently revealed feature.
According to the protocol, this might open the door for more complex features like marketplaces, crafting, and in-game item trade.
It should “feel just like traditional gaming” to play games on Web3.
According to Immutable, Web3 gaming should be uninterrupted and immersive, “feeling just like traditional gaming.”
Gamers may trade goods, buy from markets, and create new game assets more easily with the Pre-Approved Transactions functionality.
Web3 game creators will profit from the technology, Immutable added. As Immutable wrote:
“By reducing friction in Web3 interactions, you can focus on building engaging gameplay mechanics rather than worrying about blockchain complexity. This leads to better player experiences, reduced support tickets, and increased player satisfaction.”
According to the protocol, developers would have control over the transaction interface, enabling them to match the game’s appearance and feel.
It also stated that the implementation process is simple and involves little technological overhead.
The technology manages the blockchain interactions in the background at the same time.
The feature only works with in-game-issued content, even though it improves players’ experiences within the Immutable ecosystem.
According to the procedure, this guarantees that it is in a safe and regulated setting.
Nevertheless, it intends to increase its capacity to accommodate Immutable.
