Kim Kardashian’s latest companion is Optimus, the Tesla bot, stepping into the spotlight ahead of Pete Davidson and Kanye West
The fashion mogul tried Tesla’s bipedal, humanoid robot, which isn’t currently accessible. Kardashian instructs Optimus to make a heart with its hand (unlike Kim, Optimus is not blinged out), dance like a luau, and play rock, paper, scissors on her X and Instagram story videos.
She then joins a gold robot in Tesla’s Cybercab, a two-passenger driverless car Musk believes will begin production in 2027.
Musk said that he often overestimates his deadlines, such as predicting that Tesla would have a million robotaxis on the road in a year in 2019. Nearly five.
A dazzling Tesla We, Robot event last month included Optimus robots that met attendees on the ground, but they were not autonomous.
They were human-controlled. Humans presumably mediated Kardashian’s experience with Optimus.
Kardashian’s films don’t show her driving the Cybercab, but she calls it “insane” and “crazy.” Not directly responding to Kardashian’s videos, Musk retweeted one on X.
Kardashian did not state that the videos were sponsored, as influencers must do, but we know she has invested in Tesla. She owns a Cybertruck, but TMZ says she was pulled over for her dark front window. Might Optimus help her fix that.
