Meta announced that the smart eyewear that will be introduced in India would be equipped with Meta AI, which is capable of a variety of tasks, including the translation of both audio and video in real-time, the sending of messages via your phone, and the making of calls on your behalf.
Currently, the smart glasses are capable of providing live translation for English, French, Italian, and Spanish, even when the user is inactive. It is important to note that Meta has not yet implemented support for Indian languages.
According to Meta, the spectacles will be able to connect and play music through applications such as Shazam, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify in India.
Since their introduction in 2023, the organization has distributed approximately two million pairs of spectacles.
