Google’s NotebookLM has expanded its Video Overviews feature to support 80 languages, making AI-powered content summaries more accessible worldwide.
On Monday, Google disclosed that NotebookLM’s Video Overviews feature has been upgraded to accommodate 80 languages, including French, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
Additionally, the organization enhanced the detail of non-English audio summaries in its Audio Overviews.
NotebookLM introduced Video Overviews last month, which enabled users to convert their notes, PDFs, and images into video presentations.

This update is advantageous for individuals who are not proficient in English and wish to acquire knowledge through visual summaries in their native language. However, it was previously exclusively accessible in English.
Furthermore, Audio Overviews are also improving for users who do not speak English. Initially, it was restricted to summaries, with the complete version exclusively available in English.
Currently, users can obtain more comprehensive overviews in more than 80 languages. According to the organization, users will continue to have the option to receive a condensed summary if they prefer to focus on the most significant points.
These enhancements are intended to accommodate NotebookLM’s global audience by allowing users to learn through video or audio summaries, regardless of their preferred language.
These enhancements are accessible to all users as of today and will be implemented globally over the course of the following week.
