OKX Delists 5 Altcoins, Igniting Market Turbulence

OKX Delists 5 Altcoins, Igniting Market Turbulence

OKX to delist five altcoins, including ZERO, PRQ, IQ, ARTY, and SAMO, from its spot trading platform on June 4, 2025, due to listing standards.

The tokens that have been impacted are ZeroLend (ZERO), PARSIQ (PRQ), IQ (IQ), Artyfact (ARTY), and Samoyedcoin (SAMO). The market prices of all of these tokens encountered a decline after the announcement. Nevertheless, a few of them returned shortly thereafter.

5 Altcoins to be Delisted by OKX

The following trading pairs are to be removed from the platform: ZERO/USDT, ZERO/USD, PRQ/USDT, PRQ/USD, IQ/USDT, IQ/USD, ARTY/USDT, ARTY/USD, SAMO/USDT, and SAMO/USD, as stated in the official blog.

In addition, the stablecoin pair USDT/USDC will be delisted. The delisting procedure is scheduled for June 4, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM UTC.

OKX clarified that it eliminated these tokens due to their failure to satisfy its listing criteria. It underscored its dedication to consistently evaluating the performance of listed trading pairs and implementing delisting measures as required to maintain market standards.

“In order to maintain a robust spot trading environment, we constantly monitor the performance of all listed trading pairs and review their listing qualifications on a regular basis. Based on feedback from users and the OKX Token Delisting / Hiding Guideline, we will be delisting several trading pairs that do not fulfill our listing criteria,” OKX stated.

The exchange also stated that deposits for these tokens were suspended as of 6:00 AM UTC on May 28, 2025. Additionally, withdrawals will be suspended at 8:00 AM UTC on September 4, 2025.

“Once the delisting is complete, you can find your assets under Assets > Untradable assets,” the exchange added.

Investors’ apprehensions regarding diminished liquidity and accessibility were evident in the immediate aftermath of the announcement, as all altcoins experienced a decline. SAMO experienced the most significant decline, with a decrease of nearly 15%. It was succeeded by PRQ, which experienced an approximate 9% decline. Both ZERO and ARTY experienced a depreciation of approximately 4%. Finally, IQ experienced a negligible decrease of 0.09%.

Nevertheless, PRQ and IQ reversed the losses at the time of publication. They were up 7.9% and 0.4%, respectively. The declines of other tokens were also marginally mitigated.

The market’s typical response to any delisting announcement is a price decline. For instance, Gate.io’s announcement yesterday to delist 33 tokens elicited a comparable response. Additionally, when Binance implemented comparable delisting decisions, similar patterns were identified.
