Pet owner Longo has inaugurated JUSTICE and has declared that it is the sole coin he will ever introduce amid controversy.
In honor of the memory of Peanut the Squirrel (P’Nut) and Fred the Raccoon, their owner, Mark Longo, has decided to launch a crypto token following the viral news of their deaths earlier this month. In a recent X video, Longo disclosed the update, stating that the token will be referred to as Justice for Pnut and Fred (JUSTICE).
The pet owner intends to demonstrate to the world that it is unacceptable for any entity, including the government, to exceed its boundaries through JUSTICE.
The Origins of the JUSTICE Token
Longo has confirmed his intention to introduce JUSTICE on the Solana blockchain. Nevertheless, the entire project is a direct result of the events that transpired in early November, when environmental officers from the state of New York conducted a raid on Longo’s animal sanctuary in Pine City.
Before the raid, P’Nut had already garnered a following of more than half a million individuals, establishing him as a social media sensation.
Nevertheless, the officers cited laws prohibiting the possession of wildlife as pets during the invasion, ultimately resulting in the euthanasia of P’Nut and Fred.
The incident continues to cause Longo pain despite the widespread outrage that was sparked by the tragic deaths of his pets. This elucidates his determination to pursue justice by taking the government to court. He partially stated:
“The government’s not gonna get away with this. Justice will be served for not only Fred and Peanut but for anyone affected by overstepped boundaries.”
Amid rapid token success, accusations are hurled
In the interim, Longo also offers blades that are suitable for members of the crypto community. He claims that a variety of parties have exploited his tragic circumstances and trauma.
According to him, many individuals have floated token projects inspired by the story of their pets without their consent.
Intriguingly, there have also been counter-allegations. Additionally, members of the PNUT crypto community have claimed that they have previously donated $50,000 to Longo, which he is purported to have already liquidated.
Longo has now launched JUSTICE and has declared that it is the sole coin he will ever introduce, regardless of the circumstances. If that is the case, it may be a safe assumption that he has subtly distanced himself from any other tokens that may wish to capitalize on the memories of P’Nut and Fred.
JUSTICE, on the other hand, is currently conducting the calculations. According to data from Solscan, the token currently has a market capitalization of $53.8 million and more than 14,000 holders.
