Pudgy Penguins and Mythical Games are set to launch a Web3 mobile game on Polkadot in 2025, promising to enhance Pudgy Penguins’ popularity within the community
A statement released on May 30 states that Pudgy Penguins, a notable NFT collection, has formed a collaboration with Mythical Games to create a Web3-powered AAA mobile game based on the Mythos Chain, which is based in Polkadot.
The game will debut in 2025, featuring the lovable Pudgy Penguins characters and their distinctive wit and lore.
Pudgy Penguins is among the industry’s most well-liked NFT collections. With a total volume of approximately $160,000, the NFTs are ranked among the top 20 most-traded collections over the previous twenty-four hours, per CryptoSlam data.
With a plethora of experience gleaned from successful blockchain games such as NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party, Mythical Games contributes significantly to this new endeavor. Polkaworld reports that the firm’s Mythos 2.0 network is virtually live and has approximately 800,000 active wallets.
Consequently, this strategic partnership would increase Pudgy Penguins’ community participation and appeal to the gaming industry. Before the game’s release, Pudgy Penguins bearers will be granted access to exclusive content and advanced looks at in-game footage. Additionally, they will be allowed to exert influence over critical facets of game development.
The CEO of Mythical Games, John Linden, underscored the significance of communities within the dynamic Web3 gaming environment. He is confident this collaboration will increase Web3’s acceptance among mainstream consumers. What he stated was:
“Pudgy Penguins is the only web3 project to truly go mainstream through their incredible retail partnerships with Walmart and Target and their rapidly growing social media following.”
This was confirmed by the CEO of Pudgy Penguins, Luca Netz, who expressed his enthusiasm regarding the collaboration. In addition, he emphasized the partnership between the growth strategy of the NFT collection and the gaming expertise of Mythical Games.
