It’s evident that the number of individuals using pumps is increasing. fun, but the site has recently been criticized for its livestream feature, which coin developers have used to show harmful material showing self-harm and other dangerous acts.
Pump.fun removed its livestream feature in August 2024 due to numerous online complaints and concerns about the site’s content moderation.
The team heard what the community was saying and took extra steps to make sure users were safe, like removing inappropriate content and marking NSFW content.
Alon, the founder of pump.fun, discussed the issue in a post on X on November 23. Alon said that the pump.fun team has been constantly moderating content on the site since the beginning.
In the post, Alon said, “We have a large team of moderators working around the clock and an internal team of engineers working on helping us deal with the increased volume of coins, streams, and comments.”
Alon acknowledged the imperfections in the moderated material. Because of this, the founder of pump.fun asked users to report any harmful material through the site’s support channels.
