Reddit focuses on expanding its presence in the UK, India, Brazil, and the Philippines as part of its strategy for international growth
In order to increase its user base, Reddit is emphasizing international markets, including the United Kingdom, India, Brazil, and the Philippines.
In an interview with CNBC, Jen Wong, Reddit’s chief operating officer, disclosed that over 50% of the company’s user base is located outside of the United States.
Wong emphasized India, indicating that English-speaking users from the country are discussing subjects such as Bollywood and cricket.
“India is expanding at an accelerated pace.” She informed the publication, “We perceive a substantial opportunity in India.”
In October, CEO Steve Huffman announced that the organization intends to broaden its translation initiatives in order to extend its machine-learning-based translation feature to more than 30 countries by 2025.
According to its third-quarter results, the United States continues to generate 83% of Reddit’s total revenue. Wong disclosed to CNBC that the organization intends to broaden its local advertising efforts to encompass additional nations.
