Ripple Labs donated $25 million to the pro-crypto super PAC Fairshake to support pro-innovation legislators in the 2026 U.S. elections.
Ripple Labs has contributed $25 million to Fairshake, a pro-crypto super political action committee (PAC), in an effort to bolster the digital asset industry’s recently acquired influence in Washington, D.C.
A super PAC is a political organization that receives campaign donations from corporations and affluent individuals. The funds are then distributed to political candidates who are expected to advocate for the interests of its donors on Capitol Hill.

Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Labs, announced in a Tuesday post on X that his organization would contribute an additional $25 million to Fairshake to assist in the election of legislators who are “pro-crypto, pro-growth, and pro-innovation” during the 2026 U.S. midterm elections.
Just weeks after the super PAC’s remarkable success in garnering congressional support for the crypto industry during the 2024 U.S. elections, the crypto payments company has just made its most recent donation to Fairshake.
“Fairshake is the most successful multi-candidate, bipartisan Super PAC in American history,” Garlinghouse said Tuesday in the X post. “Electing pro-crypto, pro-growth and pro-innovation candidates is a no-brainer, and to continue that momentum, Ripple is contributing another $25M to Fairshake,” he stated.
His most recent contribution represents the organization’s third $25 million investment in Fairshake within the past year, according to campaign finance data.
Ripple Labs Chief Legal Officer Stuart Aldertory stated on Tuesday that the expenditures are indicative of the company’s dedication to strengthening its influence on Capitol Hill. The XRP-focused organization has maintained its advocacy for the establishment of a comprehensive digital assets regulatory framework and has engaged in disputes with federal regulators.
“When Fairshake first started, Ripple committed to being a top tier supporter; before anyone knew what impact it might have,” Aldertory said in the X post. “Innovation is here to stay and we will remain a strong force in DC for years to come.”
Coinbase, a cryptocurrency exchange, and a16z, a crypto-focused division of Andreessen Horowitz, both of which are among Fairshake’s greatest donors, each contributed $25 and $23 to the committee in the previous weeks. Ripple Labs’ contribution follows in quick succession.
The super PAC has collected a minimum of $73 million for the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, as indicated by public comments and records.
Upon Decrypt’s request for comment regarding Ripple Labs’ $25 million donation, Fairshake did not respond immediately. Ripple Labs declined to comment further on the donation, instead referencing the X posts of its CEO and CLO.
Fairshake amassed a war chest of over $200 million during the 2024 U.S. election cycle, making it the largest super PAC. This information was obtained from the non-profit campaign finance watchdog OpenSecrets. Outsized influence over the U.S. congressional races was granted to the committee by the funds.
According to OpenSecrets’ data, at least 90% of the 22 congressional candidates to whom Fairshake donated $1 million or more during the 2024 U.S. election cycle defeated their political opponents.
