Palermo, a long-standing center of Argentina’s crypto community, was the residence of the two victims, who remain unidentified. However, a significant amount of information continues to be concealed.

These Russian crypto entrepreneurs were lured to their abduction by a dinner invitation; however, it is unclear whether they had any prior history with their captors.

Nevertheless, the assailants promptly ensnared them and demanded a $43,000 ransom. It appears that their acquaintance made this payment in a single transaction.

The couple was rescued within 24 hours, and local reports do not indicate any severe physical injuries. The police were able to ascertain that the kidnappers had long since fled after the woman was able to call for assistance from the balcony of the apartment.

A disturbing trend is emerging as crypto kidnappings are on the rise on a global scale. A crime ring orchestrated numerous violent assaults in France, and an Italian millionaire was tortured in the United States.

These Russian captors requested a relatively modest crypto ransom; however, they were able to secure the funds. This success could serve as an incentive for additional imitators if the authorities fail to apprehend them promptly.
