On Tuesday, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta invited Jay Y. Lee to his residence, where they discussed artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and semiconductors.

Additionally, Lee met with Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, and Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, to discuss semiconductor collaborations, which encompassed memory chips for Amazon’s data centers and cloud services, as well as chip contract manufacturing for Qualcomm’s mobile processors, according to Samsung.

The South Korean technology company intends to convene a company-wide strategic meeting by the end of June. The company stated that Lee’s discussions regarding cooperation with the three American companies will inform this meeting.

Lee is currently in the United States for a two-week visit.

Samsung has experienced a decline in its market share in the field of chips, particularly high-end memory for AI.

In response, the newly appointed chief of its semiconductor division has urged employees to unite to surmount many obstacles.

Samsung’s semiconductor clientele includes Amazon, and the two organizations collaborate in numerous industries, including content, mobile, and television.

The companies have recently expanded their partnership to include AI-enabled PCs, and Samsung’s high-end smartphones utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile processors.

Meta is a Samsung semiconductor client who collaborated with Samsung on the South Korean company’s Gear VR headset and foldable smartphones.
