An expanded partnership has been announced between ServiceNow and Microsoft, which integrates their formidable Gen AI capabilities to create a unified enterprise experience
As evidenced by the fact that more than half of American consumers have already implemented Gen AI tools, including image generators and AI-powered chatbots, the era of Gen AI in the enterprise has arrived.
Rapidly gaining traction to increase productivity and unlock new creative potential, AI models that can generate text, code, images, and more resembling humans have transformed from novelty to necessity for contemporary businesses.
Generative AI tools are revolutionizing how individuals perform their duties, enabling intelligent search and summarization and powering virtual assistants to improve the consumer experience.
At this time, ServiceNow and Microsoft are announcing an expansion of their strategic partnership that integrates the artificial intelligence capabilities of both companies into a unified enterprise experience.
The collaboration’s focal point, introduced at ServiceNow’s yearly customer and partner gathering, Knowledge 2024, is the amalgamation of ServiceNow’s Now Assist and Copilot, which are ServiceNow and Microsoft’s Gen AI assistants, respectively.
Due to the alliance, both organizations assert that the two AI assistants can autonomously communicate and transfer tasks to one another in accordance with the specific requirements of an employee in the given instant.
As an illustration, an employee might begin by utilizing Microsoft Copilot to compose a document and subsequently effortlessly transition to Now Assist to integrate insights from enterprise systems and data. Conversely, Now Assist might utilize Copilot’s document creation capabilities to construct a presentation.
“We are confident that the collaboration of industry executives who are utilizing AI for the benefit of their clients will shape the next generation of AI.”
With the combined capabilities of Now Assist and Microsoft Copilot, we are well on our way to transforming the way work is conducted,” says CJ Desai, President and Chief Operating Officer of ServiceNow.
“The news of today ushers in a new era in which enterprises will function. By collaborating with Microsoft, we are facilitating an enhanced method of working in which generative AI assistants can interact and coexist, thereby enabling unprecedented levels of productivity.
In the future, capabilities will also permit employees to utilize Copilot for Microsoft 365 from ServiceNow to generate documents based on ServiceNow prompts, such as a PowerPoint presentation, thereby empowering AI-driven digital businesses.
“At Microsoft, we are committed to assisting our customers in adjusting to and prospering in this new era of artificial intelligence,” stated Rajesh Jha, EVP of Experiences and Devices at Microsoft. “Every industry, organization, and individual is experiencing a productivity transformation due to fundamental shifts; therefore, our collaboration with ServiceNow is invaluable.”
By increasing the value of our client’s technology investments, the smooth incorporation of our AI-driven assistants will facilitate the execution of routine work tasks, decrease the need for employees and IT personnel to move between contexts, and promote enhanced productivity.
