Siqi Chen Appeals for Support in Daughter’s Fight Against Rare Brain Tumor

Siqi Chen, CEO of a tech company, revealed his daughter Mira’s battle with a rare brain tumor, craniopharyngioma, and urged support for Dr. Hankinson’s research into potential treatments. In a heartfelt Christmas Eve post, he asked for donations or shares to raise awareness.

Siqi Chen, shared a profoundly personal and emotional update on his social media profile on Christmas Eve, disclosing the challenging journey that he and his family are currently experiencing.

Chen shared in a touching post that his daughter, Mira, was diagnosed with a rare and difficult brain malignancy known as craniopharyngioma on September 23rd.

Siqi Chen Appeals for Support

Chen and his team of researchers have been working assiduously to assist Dr. Hankinson’s laboratory in the identification of promising new drugs to treat Mira’s tumor, despite the absence of a definitive cure for this condition.

Chen’s Christmas Eve post was a cry for assistance, urging his followers to lend their support to Dr. Hankinson’s pioneering research. “If not with funds, I would be equally appreciative of a repost or a like on this thread,” he stated.

Siqi disclosed that the campaign had already amassed $75,000 within three hours of his post, thereby approaching the $100,000 objective. Chen expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, “Yi and I are in tears.” We are extremely appreciative of each and every one of you.

Siqi and his family have resolved to personally match every dollar raised beyond the $75K threshold, up to a maximum of $100,000, in order to further motivate donations. Hankinson Lab will receive a minimum of $300,000 if the campaign reaches $200,000, which could revolutionize research into craniopharyngiomas.

Nevertheless, the fundraising endeavors encountered an unexpected detour. Chen disclosed in a subsequent post that a benevolent supporter had established a memecoin named $MIRA to assist in fundraising.

The memecoin was valued at an astonishing $400,000. This occurred within 20 minutes of the individual, a random stranger, sending half of the total supply of $MIRA to Chen. Currently, Siqi has effectively raised over $18 million for Dr. Hankinson’s research endeavors, with contributions coming from all over the world.

He expressed his profound appreciation for the community’s assistance and continued to promote donations and shares, in the hopes that each contribution would bring them closer to discovering a cure.
