Since it started as a site primarily for newsletters, Substack has added many more video tools for creators in the past year.
Substack announced new features on Wednesday to help companies grow and promote their livestreams.
With the latest update, creators can share clips of their live videos on Notes, and Substack will let them know about the results in real time.
Producers can choose which clips to share on other sites, like YouTube Shorts, to get more views.
Creators can get the top two clips to appear on their Shorts feeds if they link their YouTube accounts.
The new feature is now live in the iOS app and will be live next week on Android as well. Substack uses AI to take long video recordings and cut them into small highlight clips.

When users plan a livestream, Substack also makes promotional materials automatically to share on Notes, YouTube, and other social networks. This saves publishers time and effort.
People who follow you but don’t have a Substack account can now invite guests via email or SMS, a small but useful feature.
Substack recently added audio-only livestreams and a video feed that can be scrolled through. Early this year, Substack allowed all producers to stream live video.
