The murder trial for tech executive Bob Lee progresses to its next phase as new evidence and testimonies emerge in court
About 19 months after software executive Bob Lee was fatally stabbed in San Francisco, which garnered national attention, the trial of Nima Momeni, a tech entrepreneur and consultant, who is accused of killing Lee, is about to begin.
If the prosecution’s recently concluded case against Momeni is any guide, it should be captivating.
According to The San Francisco Standard, the lead police investigator in the case took jurors through a plethora of details about the two-day drug binge that Lee was on with the defendant’s sister, Khazar Momeni.
These details included the alleged sexual assault of Khazar Momeni by a friend of Lee’s who dealt drugs and the attack on Lee by Nima Momeni, who stabbed Lee three times with a kitchen knife.
The facts undoubtedly disprove the initial theory that Lee’s death was related to homelessness in San Francisco.
Instead, the case has included a lot of information that you might see in a “Law & Order” episode, such as burner phones, a BMW that was resold to a dealership, and video evidence from The Battery, a well-known exclusive social club in the city.
