Threads is now testing the trending themes feature in Japan, which was first released in the U.S. earlier this year
“Many people outside of the US have asked for the “Trending Now” feature, and we’re working to make it available in more places.” “This week, we’ll start testing the feature with a small group of people in Japan,” said Adam Mosseri, who runs Instagram and Threads for Meta.
Meta says that the Trending Now feature shows conversations happening, but it hasn’t said if it leaves political conversations out of this area.
The social network says it doesn’t actively suggest political content, but because of how people talk on the site, the feature often brings up political topics.
