TM Forum Champions AI-Native Telco at DTW24

The return of TM Forum’s global industry summit to Copenhagen will pave the way for tech and telco leaders to fortify their AI-Native journeys for the future

Today, TM Forum, the preeminent international consortium of technology and telecommunications firms, discloses its forthcoming DTW24 – Ignite global summit schedule. The summit will be held in Copenhagen from June 18th to the 20th.

It is a return to the city after a record-breaking event in 2023, during which 3,700 delegates from 114 countries gathered to challenge the status quo, share insights, and collaborate.

A Telco Native to AI

“Leading the way to an AI-Native Telco” is this year’s theme, which unites CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, and industry architects to collaboratively develop a solution to the industry’s most critical challenges. International industry executives, designers, and builders will gather in Copenhagen to decipher the intricacies of the transition from the Digital Telco Era to an AI-Native Telco.

During the three-day program, industry professionals will engage in dynamic dialogue, work with unparalleled efficiency, question established norms, and assemble with invigorating vitality to conceptualize, construct, and distribute a sustainable future. The following are interactive content segments for the event:

Unleash the AI-Native DNA—unleash the transformative innovation potential of AI across the industry

Implementing AI: Leverage the revolution in AI to propel innovation and business performance.

A new era of unprecedented efficiency and innovation has entered network design by amplifying intelligent networks.

Further topics to be addressed include enhancing customer experience and operational effectiveness via ‘Composable IT: The Superpower’ and the significance of TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA). Furthermore, the function of ‘Growth Powerplays’ will be examined in light of the industry’s pursuit of novel revenue streams and opportunities via collaborative ventures.

DTW24-Ignite additionally offers delegates the chance to engage in TM Forum’s ‘Live Innovation’ showcases, which provide practical insights on the transition to an AI-native telecommunications company. The following showcases are included:

2024 Catalyst Projects: In 2024, over fifty novel rapid innovation initiatives will be implemented, capitalizing on the combined expertise of over a thousand industry experts representing 250 organizations.

AI Hackathon: Targeting the industry’s most forward-thinking architects and designers, this year’s hackathon will advance TM Forum’s assets by utilizing advanced AI tools and the ingenuity of TM Forum’s hyperscaler member community.

Next20 program for startups: To stimulate dialogues and foster collaborations among technology suppliers, CSPs, entrepreneurs, and Next20 programs, this initiative addresses the following concerns: expansion, efficiency, and the AI revolution.

Stand at the TM Forum Industry Showcase: On display at the stand and on the demo stage will be member initiatives of TM Forum. Notable examples include the inaugural Innovation Hub, inaugurated in September 2023, and ODA Canvases, constructed by TM Forum’s hyperscaler members, namely AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft.

In addition to serving as a venue for festivities, the TM Forum Excellence Awards will return for their seventeenth year at the global summit.

During the inaugural evening of the occasion, the awards ceremony honors the most progressive accomplishments of global corporations across various domains, including AI innovation, ODA implementation, network monetization and partnership development, autonomous networks, and positive impacts on society and the environment.

Nik Willetts, CEO of TM Forum, stated, “DTW23—Ignite served as a pivotal moment in the telecommunications sector, as leaders united in opposition to the prevailing norms.” AI has rapidly evolved into a crucial technology that assists telcos in streamlining, modernizing, and automating their operations.

Nonetheless, obstacles are ever-present as we adopt AI on a large scale. DTW24: Ignite will assist the industry’s most forward-thinking leaders, designers, and builders in surmounting these obstacles and guaranteeing that their AI-native voyage is future-proof.

We are thrilled to continue our community-led effort to develop an AI-native telecommunications company for another year.
