Trump Denies Reports on Dimon, Fink for Treasury Secretary

Trump refuted denies he would appoint Jamie Dimon or Larry Fink as Treasury Secretary, stating neither was considered for his potential cabinet if reelected.

In response to rumors that he was considering the two finance CEOs for his cabinet, the 78-year-old Republican contender provided a statement.

Reports indicating that Republican presidential candidate may name BlackRock CEO Larry Fink or JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon as Treasury secretary if reelected have been refuted.

The Republican presidential candidate stated that neither Dimon nor Fink were in his plans for a prospective cabinet if he were elected in November in a post published on his Truth Social platform on July 23. He appeared to refute an exclusive story published by Bloomberg Businessweek, whose staff met with Trump in June, on July 16.

Trump remarked, “I never discussed, or thought of, Jamie Dimon or Larry Fink for Secretary of the Treasury. I don’t know who said it or where it came from.”

According to Bloomberg, Trump declared he would give Dimon a chance to lead the Department of the Treasury. The New York Post, which Trump is said to favor over other media, revealed on July 20 that the Republican nominee was thinking about Fink for the same job.
