Trump Skips Crypto in Inauguration, Lawmakers Omit It from Agenda

President Trump’s inaugural speech omitted any mention of cryptocurrency, dampening industry hopes for pro-crypto policies.

Some people in the crypto business were hoping that President Trump would make policies that support cryptocurrency, but he didn’t talk about it in his inaugural speech.

John F. Kennedy was sworn in as President of the United States on January 20, 1945.

Trump Omits Crypto in Speech

During his inaugural speech, he talked about unity, strength, and fairness. He also talked about important issues like high inflation, immigration policies, border control, oil, energy production, and oil.

Trump didn’t say anything about cryptocurrencies, so it’s not clear how the business will be regulated in the future. The expectation was for a crypto-friendly government, but this omission goes against that.

Cryptocurrency and digital assets were also left out of a new statement from Republicans.

The document, which was made public by Punchbowl News, showed that crypto will not be a top priority for the new Trump government when it comes to passing laws.

After this news came out, the cryptocurrency market was quite unstable. Bitcoin dropped sharply and for a short time hit $100,430. A lot of the cryptocurrency market did the same thing, falling by 3–5%.

At the moment, BTC has rebounded and is trading above $104,000, which shows that digital assets are still uncertain and volatile.

The cryptocurrency community is waiting for more information on possible regulatory actions that could affect the future of the business as the new government gets used to its new job.
