In preparation for the summer travel season, Uber announced on Tuesday a new feature designed to simplify the planning process for riders
The feature provides a user-friendly method for searching for destinations in a different city and reserving rides in advance, even before their aircraft has landed.
The newly introduced feature of Uber is designed to facilitate the process of arranging transportation for travelers before they arrive in response to the increase in summer travel.
Between June and August, Airlines for America anticipates that approximately 271 million passengers will travel globally, a decrease from the 255 million in the previous summer. According to the corporation, this feature has been a popular request among riders for a long time.
Users can specify their destination by selecting the “Search in a different city” option during the trip planning process.
The reserve function is the most advantageous aspect of this, as it enables travelers to schedule a retrieval time from a location they will visit later that day or in 90 days. Uber also offers estimated wait times and costs for transportation from local airports and within cities.
The new feature is accessible in over 10,000 cities, including Athens, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Santo Domingo, Sydney, Tokyo, and Vancouver.
Today, Uber introduced various new features, such as a partnership with Flying Blue that enables members to accumulate miles, additional reservations for its “Uber Bubbles” product, which enables visitors to Paris to reserve champagne excursions, and a complimentary one-hour cruise experience in Pont Marie.
