Web3 cloud gaming beta by GAM3S.GG and Aethir offers free, smooth gameplay using decentralized GPUs.
Aethir and GAM3S.GG, formerly known as Polkastarter Gaming, announced that they would collaborate to provide a Web3 cloud gaming platform as part of an ambitious 2024 roadmap highlighting noteworthy developments in web3 gaming. The roadmap outlines several vital projects to improve user experience and promote web3 gaming.
In cooperation with Aethir, GAM3S.GG will introduce its cloud gaming beta functionality in the second quarter of 2024. Through Aethir’s infrastructure, this cooperation seeks to provide large-scale cloud gaming with low latency and excellent dependability, all while delivering seamless, high-performance gameplay available from any device. During the beta testing period, the cloud gaming feature will be available to all platform users without charge. However, as the service grows and more games are added to its library, it is intended to switch to a G3 token-gated environment.
By leveraging a globally dispersed network of GPUs and peer-to-peer networking, Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure can pool and share processing power. GAM3S.GG aims to provide seamless, high-quality cloud gaming directly through its platform, democratizing access to the best web3 games for users worldwide. By integrating Aethir’s infrastructure, this novel approach ensures low latency and high scalability, enabling gamers to access high-performance gaming experiences without needing expensive hardware.
In Q2-Q3 2024, GAM3S.GG will deploy the Vault after cloud gaming launches. Users will be able to support their favorite games ahead of time by taking part in private sales of web3 gaming tokens thanks to this functionality. Staking a minimum of 10,000 $G3 tokens will grant access to the Vault; eligibility will also be based on the user’s GAM3R Score and GAM3R NFTs.
The Battle Pass system, which offers both free and premium tiers with different rewards and levels that may be earned through platform activities, is one of the roadmap’s additional features. By allowing players to gain experience points, get rewards, and move up the ranks across several seasons, this gamification feature seeks to increase user engagement.
The Gaming Passport, which will go live in Q4, is the last significant feature until 2024. Users will be able to follow in-game progress on-chain, manage gaming credentials, and validate gaming scores with this digital identity system. Through the integration of data from many gaming platforms, the Gaming Passport will offer a single login system and facilitate the speedy identification of top-tier gamers by game developers.
