WhatsApp: Businesses Can Send Auth Codes to Indian Users

WhatsApp now allows businesses to send authentication and login codes to Indian users via its API, since July 1

Last year, Meta enabled merchants to verify consumers across various regions.

Nevertheless, the organization began permitting these types of communications from organizations in Malaysia in June and India in July.

The international authentication rate was implemented by Meta last month for activities such as sending login codes to cross-border users.

“We are committed to enabling individuals and businesses to accomplish more on WhatsApp, as we previously stated during ‘Conversations’ last month.

This includes the implementation of one-time passwords, which will enable users to obtain a login code and quickly sign in,” a Meta spokesperson informed TechCrunch.

This statement emphasizes Meta’s dedication to enhancing WhatsApp’s capabilities and transforming it into an essential instrument for daily digital interactions.

“Providing individuals and businesses with straightforward methods to verify their accounts on their preferred application will ensure that WhatsApp remains the premier platform for conducting business,” the spokesperson reiterated.
