WhatsApp Launches Official iPad App

WhatsApp Launches Official iPad App

WhatsApp finally releases its long-awaited iPad app, bringing a seamless messaging experience to Apple tablet users with full sync support

Meta declared on Tuesday that WhatsApp is now accessible on iPads. The new iPad application enables users to utilize front and rear cameras, share their screens, and engage in video and audio calls with up to 32 individuals.

In the past, the only way to use WhatsApp on an iPad was to use the web version in a browser.

According to the company, users will be able to utilize iPadOS multitasking features, including Slide Over, Split View, and Stage Manager.

These features will enable users to perform tasks such as researching options for a group excursion while on a call, sending messages while browsing the web, or viewing multiple apps simultaneously. When conducting these activities on a mobile device, it would be necessary to exit WhatsApp.

According to WhatsApp, the new iPad application is compatible with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.

Users will be able to maintain synchronization across their iPhones, Macs, and other devices with the assistance of this new application. WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption will continue to safeguard personal messages, conversations, and media.

Meta’s WhatsApp account on X (formerly Twitter) hinted at the news yesterday with a subtle tweet, so the launch of the dedicated iPad app is not entirely unexpected.
