xAI, owned by Elon Musk, has made its Grok AI model better at understanding images
This means that paid users of X’s social site can post pictures and ask the AI chatbot questions about them
The official Grok handle and one of the people who work at xAI wrote about this update on X.
Musk said in a different post that Grok can even explain what a joke means with the new technology that lets it understand pictures. He also said that its usefulness is still in its early stages and will improve as time goes on.
In August, Musk’s AI company released Grok-2 as a model and chatbot for X paid users. Using FLUX, the robot on the social network could also make images of 1 model made by Black Forest Labs.
xAI said that multimodal knowledge would be made available as part of Grok’s experience on X and the developer API.
Grok might soon be able to understand the papers, too. Another user said that Grok couldn’t handle pictures or PDFs. Musk replied, “Not for long.” It took everyone else years to finish what we’re doing in months.
The social network has been working to get the AI robot and paid users to have more features to make the service more appealing. Earlier this month, X released a new tool called Radar for Premium+ members to see trends in real-time and get more information about talks.
