Blader, facing backlash for a perceived $ZERO token “rug pull” amid his daughter’s brain tumor battle, pledged $600K of personal funds to reimburse investors.
An individual known as Blader, whose 5-year-old daughter is suffering from a brain tumor, has been involved in establishing a cryptocurrency token called $ZERO. Blader launched the token and advised against its acquisition, despite receiving millions in charitable donations to cover his daughter’s medical expenses.
Nevertheless, Blader was compelled to sell half of the token supply after investors purchased it, a situation that has been referred to as a “rug pull” by certain members of the crypto community.
Blader has pledged to allocate $600,000 from his personal funds to compensate those who suffered losses on $ZERO in response to the backlash.
This situation has incited controversy and debate within the cryptocurrency industry, with some individuals querying the ethical implications of employing personal tragedy as a marketing strategy for a cryptocurrency project.
